One-ish Week In

So I've been here almost a week now. I really haven't done much but that's completely acceptable when you live right by the beach. However, I've only been to the beach once as I've mostly been chilling in my Airbnb watching Netflix. The reason for me not leaving the apartment is that between the three of us staying in the Airbnb, there is only one key and you have to unlock the front entrance in order to leave so it's complicated but thankfully I am lazy and have no reason to leave anyway.
But here are some things I have done besides watch Netflix in my room
1. Bought ham and cheese and bread and ate almost exclusively those three things despite my roommates offering me their food.
2. Went to the beach. Yes it's true. I was there. I saw the water as well as the sand. I also saw the sun and the sun saw me much harder than I saw him and I got a sunburn.
3. Toured the new apartment and met the landlord and lady. The apartment is small but that's fine because so am I. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms and a kitchen and a living room. The landlord and lady are extremely nice and so I plan on not completely trashing their newly remodeled apartment for at least a few weeks.
4. Went to the mall. There's a mall. I went to it. I saw several shops. They all sold items.
5. Skyped my friend who is a boy and whom I am also dating. One might call him a boyfriend. He's a great conversationalist, 10/10 would recommend dating him. Would not recommend living across the ocean from him.
6. Attempted to find a bar to go dancing in on a Thursday night in an area that's not the university area. 100% unsuccessful. We went to a gay bar playing Gossip Girl and to an Irish pub instead.
7. Ate traditional Canarian potatoes at a night market. you might think that these are potatoes laid by canaries, but they are in fact normal tiny potatoes in a chili pepper sauce. they're called papas arrugadas.
You've all been dying to hear about my exciting Spanish life and so I hope you're all impressed by the things I've done!
Best Wishes,
cassie
